Philippine-Standard-Time

So we have now standard time called Philippine Standard Time (PST) that we need to implement and use starting June 1, 2013. Philippine Standard Time is a law signed by the President, a Republic Act 10535 compelling all media like radio and TV station to calibrate and synchronize their time with the PST, the Philippine Standard Time can be seen and will be maintained by PAGASA website.

Actually this is a good move that we have a synchronize time. Usually the time of any radio station is differs from another which is sometimes confusing. When someone asks what time is it, someone will reply a time according to a TV station that they usually watch.

I usually synchronize my time to Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) time so I can timing the opening and closing of the market but since there is now PST this should be the right time that I use and probably the PSE too.

Our love ones outside the country will also know the exact time here in the Philippines just by looking at PAGASA website.

According to this new law, owners of TV and radio stations will be penalized if they fail to synchronize their time devices with the Philippine Standard Time with a fine of P30,000 to P50,000.

Go ahead and synchronize your watch now.
