Rates Guide for Blog

blog rate

While blogging I realize that it is our right to earn from it. We dedicate time, efforts and skills to build them; in fact it takes a year or even beyond a year for us to make it visible in the eyes of Google and other Search Engine company. We even spent our own money while building it like registering their domain, paying some hosting, hired someone to layout it or make a logo for our blog not to mention the time we spent and money that we need to pay while using the electricity and internet connection to make it going.

Oftentimes I always received a mail coming from different individual who want to post a guest post on my blog for free. It’s ok if the link was their personal blog but when you checked the link it goes to a business site or any company site to make the site rank higher in the search engine. My guess is that these people have been working hard to build a particular site and they will be paid for it. But how about the owner of the blogsite, will you offer your site for free while these freelancers earn from your own site?

According to Blog Advertising Rates: They will convince you it’s free, but it shouldn't be.  Anytime you place a link on your website someone is benefiting.  This is probably the most abused request for free services from bloggers.  Abused in the sense that it’s often offered as a benefit to you, the blog owner.  The email might read, “We are offering you quality free content; just include this one link in the article please.”  Don’t be fooled by these offers of guest posts.  A guest post is not from a company, it’s from an individual blogger like you.  If the email of the person is a business or a personal email with no blog domain in the name, consider it a sponsored post request.

And so it is right to reward the owner of the blog a little payment for their hardworking days while making the blog: writing, SEO, socializing, building, configuring the whole layout of the blog and so on. And below is the rate that I gather from different bloggers and other groups who is more knowledgeable when it comes to charging rates for the blog.

For Copy Paste Articles regardless of how many words
PR0 - $3 per link
PR1 - $5 per link
PR2 - $10 per link
PR3 - $20 per link

For link insertion:

Tip: Before posting copy pasted articles into your blog make sure that it passed original and copyright software.

For sidebar links:

PR2 - $70/ 3 months
PR3 - $90/ 3 months

For Paidpost known as opps post or opportunity post or simply called sponsored post:
PR0-PR1 - $10, 200 words
PR2 - $25, 200 words
PR3 - $40, 200 words

For ad banners:
125 x 125
PR0 - $5/month
PR1 - $10/mo
PR2 - $15/mo
PR3 – 20/mo

180x125
PR0- $10/month
PR1 - $15/mo
PR2 - $20/mo
PR3 – 25/mo

468x60, 160x600 and 336x280 - $30/month
240x400, 300x250 - $40/month
728x90 - $50/month
Just add $5 when the PR goes up.

But of course it is still up to you whether you’ll change the rate or not. But my advice is not to go lower from these rates or charge higher from these rates; you deserve to be paid because you work hard for it.

Making a blog is like sharpening the minds of elementary pupils, you’ll not learn it in overnight. It has an upside down and roller-coaster ride before we can be in our best fit to finally earn the rank, and giving the favors for others in free is a charity work. But keep in mind the things that you’ll need to pay just to blog before giving in.
