Looks like Senators are now diligent in creating more bills these days, maybe because of more pinoys are now updated with the social media that every move they make people will notice. The latest is the bill created by none other than Senator Tito Sotto implementing that all government and non-government rank and file employees entitled in 14th month pay every year.
Well of course employees feels good about it that another month of salary will be added as a bonus. But not everyone loves it especially on the investor’s side which may affect their operation in the business and soon will force to lay off some employees to follow this law. I had also other conclusion that employers in the private sectors will also lessen some promotion for them to balance the added bonus for their employees.
This bill also threatens the country to increase unemployment growth and will shoo away incoming business and investors due to increasing labor cost, not to mention the right and left collection of taxes that actually goes to the pocket of these lawmakers itself.
I just hope that this bill is not intended to divert the issue of pork barrel scam; we all know that Sotto is the ally of those top senators involving with pork barrel scam trying to make pogi-points and lessen the angrily people toward these lawmakers.
Another thing to these lawmakers: I hope that you focus more on how to create more jobs, how to lessen the tax, electric bill, water bill or even lessen the 12% VAT that we always pay every time we open our wallet to pay for our food and services or even lessen creating and non-sense bill. You should create a bill that almost all people will benefited from it and not for the one sided only. Isip isip din kasi pag may time!
