Oh men, we should all give thanks to the person who started the idea of creating a way to access files on different computers which pave the way to develop and launch of World Wide Web, the one we called internet today whom many of us benefited from it.

Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the Internet |
It was March 12, 1989 when he presented the idea on paper which marks also the birthday of the web, it was a long debates and thorough study at the beginning but it happens anyway.
Internet has touched many of our lives today and even created billionaires for the past 25 years. More and more companies are dependent on the internet which contributed to the economy and employment.
I admit that I am also one of those who benefited from the net by founding my computer shop back in 2005 and now as a freelancer who work at home through blogging and writing. This is also our way of communications with my hubby who works overseas.
All I’m praying is that company providers here in the Philippines should ditch their “Fair Usage Policy” that limit us the use of internet and increase their provided speed to their consumers.
Of course, we can’t set aside the fact that there is also negative outcome from the internet which we now called cybercrimes: who hacked and invade other networks, prostitution, fraud, cyber bullying, plagiarism and copyrights issue.
Internet has a good and bad sides and I’ll go with the good sides since I used it every day for work. Thanks to Tim Berners-Lee who pushes his idea despite long arguments and criticisms from his colleagues, we wouldn't be connected now if not for him.
Can you imagine our world without the internet?
